Pakistan Sign Major Deal to Send 150,000 Young Professionals to Belarus

Pakistan and Belarus have made a historic agreement that will allow 150,000 young, skilled Pakistanis to work in Belarus. This deal, signed during a visit by Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif to Belarus, is a big step in bringing the two countries closer together. It aims to help both nations by creating jobs for Pakistani youth and filling workforce needs in Belarus.

A Win-Win Partnership

During talks in Minsk, Prime Minister Sharif and Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko agreed to work together to make the most of Pakistan’s young talent and Belarus’s growing industries.

“This is a huge moment for us,” Sharif said. “Our skilled young workers are ready to make a real difference in Belarus.”

President Lukashenko agreed, saying Belarus is excited to welcome Pakistani workers. “We’re ready to hire 100,000 to 150,000 professionals from Pakistan,” he said. “We’ll make sure they have what they need to succeed here.”

Why Belarus Needs Workers

Belarus, a country in Eastern Europe with about 9.5 million people, needs more workers to keep its industries strong. It’s known for making things like farm equipment, mining tools, and vehicles, but it doesn’t have enough skilled workers to meet demand.

Lukashenko said Pakistani workers are a great fit because they’re hardworking and skilled. “Pakistan has so many talented people,” he said. “They can help us grow our industries.”

This deal also helps Belarus build stronger connections with countries outside the West, especially in South Asia, by working with Pakistan’s large, young population.

What People Are Saying

In Pakistan, young people are excited. Ayesha Khan, a 24-year-old engineer from Lahore, said, “Working in Belarus would be amazing. I could use my skills and help my family.”

In Belarus, people like Ivan Petrov, a factory manager in Minsk, are also happy. “We need more workers to keep things going,” he said. “I think Pakistani workers will do great here.”
